TI Introduces Mobile Phone Adopting Single-Chip Technology

After announcing the development of single-chip technology for mobile phones in late 2004, on August 8 Texas Instruments introduced handset equipped with the technology in New Delhi, India. Single-chip technology enables the cost of a phone to go down considerably, and also helps in bringing down power consumption which in turn increases battery life.
